About The LEGO Academy
The South Suburban Chicago (IL) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated, is excited to introduce The LEGO Academy (Links Eliminating Gaps through Opportunities)—a free, year-long program designed for students and families right here in our South Suburban community.
What is The LEGO Academy? It’s a community program that provides workshops, field trips, meals, and resources to help families strengthen education, careers, health, culture, civic life, and access to healthy food.
What’s included for FREE?
Education & Careers: Scholarships, community service hours, resume, cover letter & personal statement help, elevator pitch coaching, FREE professional headshots, mock interviews, digital skills, field trips, and laptops for select participants
Civic Engagement: Deputy voter registrar training, FREE state IDs/Real IDs, FREE birth certificates, and FREE Ventra passes
Health & Wellness: FREE Screenings and workshops
Food Security: FREE meals at every session + FREE groceries to take home
Who can join?
Students in grades 6–12
Parents and senior family members
